Two years ago, Rouje ventured into
the world of beauty with Les Filles en Rouje. This desire had long been brewing within Jeanne, further inspired by her time at Yves Saint Laurent, a designer brand, with world-renowned artistic director and make-up artist Lloyd Simmonds, where she got a behind-the-scenes look at a cosmetics brand. As a teenager, she realized the joy bold lips could bring, the camaraderie shared during makeup sessions with friends, or the soothing comfort of applying skincare after a long day. Les Filles en Rouje was born from these moments—a celebration of playful, fresh beauty.

Rouje beauty is effortless: a light texture applied with a swipe of the fingers, a dab of red that blends seamlessly onto lips and cheeks... A casual charm made possible by products designed for versatile, spontaneous use and formulas that are as delightful as they are natural.

The products from Les Filles en Rouje feature vegan and clean formulations: up to 98% of their ingredients come from natural sources. Out of respect for the delicacy of the skin, we avoid any petroleum-derived components and ensure all our ingredients comply with
European standards. We also exclude ingredients that, while not banned, we consider controversial.

Proud of the internationally recognized French craftsmanship, our skincare range is entirely developed locally. The rest of our products are designed in Italy and Germany. Each of our suppliers holds certifications that guarantee European standards: prohibition
of child labor, fair wages, and proper working hours.

Most of our packaging is also produced in Europe, primarily in France, or alternatively in Portugal. In each case, we ensure that they hold certifications that guarantee good social and, where possible, environmental practices. For instance, our paper boxes are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, meaning they come from sustainably
managed forests.

The palettes, bottles, and tubes from Les Filles en Rouje are designed as standalone objects. They catch the eye during a quick touch-up on the subway or are displayed with care on a vanity—adding a sophisticated touch to any space or look. This attention to design extends to their composition, which combines beauty with durability, so they can go wherever you go, whenever you need them.

This is achieved by minimizing plastic use, with all of our lip and skincare products made from thick glass and metal. However, plastic is still present in our palettes. We use PEG plastic, which is one of the least harmful to produce and is recyclable.

In the coming years, we envision our packaging to be endlessly refillable, allowing them to be cherished for a long time and produced in smaller quantities. This process starts with the design of refillable packaging, like that of our new pearlescent eye palette or all of our skincare range. The next step is to develop the refills to make them fully functional. Once this milestone is reached, it will be announced here.
