OUR OTHER
COMMITMENTS:
At Rouje, beyond our choice of materials, we are
gradually implementing actions to reduce our environmental impact. It’s an ongoing process, and we are fully aware that it is far from complete. Here’s what we have implemented so far:

Packaging innovation
Since 2022, paper packaging has been used across our entire production chain, allowing us to save 2 tons of plastic each year. Additionally, 100% of our shipping boxes now come from a recycling supply chain, compared to 90% in 2021.
Road
transport
We strive to limit our environmental impact by prioritizing road transport. Today, 89% of our items are transported by land, allowing us to minimize our carbon footprint by choosing the least polluting method.

upcycled creations
Upcycling and using our deadstock fabrics are common practices at Rouje. Because we value every material, we aim to make the most of them. This is achieved through several approaches:
• In January 2023, an entirely upcycled collection was unveiled, reusing 2,000 meters of fabric and 332 kg of thread. The remaining materials were donated, in 2022, to the ESMOD fashion school and Emmaus's Friperie Solidaire (6,399 meters in 2022 and 6,776 meters in 2023), to support training in fashion professions.
• With each collection, in addition to an upcycled piece whose proceeds are donated to the Maison des Femmes de Saint-Denis (link to page), we create another piece using our deadstock fabrics.
